2005-07-22 - 1:47 p.m. The Homeless Lady, The Green Buick, and The River Pirates. The homeless lady is gone. One morning a film crew was setting up across the street from her; there were tables and catering services and tripods and floodlights, and she sat turned away from them with her head bowed. I wondered if they would either offer her some food or call some city agency to take her out of their line of vision. I haven't seen her since. The old green Buick station wagon in the right lane of the bridge this morning was stuffed to the roof with a curious cargo - roll after roll of white toilet paper. I wondered if the man behind the wheel had some strange problem. The River Pirates no longer exist - at least I didn't see any - but once they actually did prey on boats carrying goods along the Hackensack River, where I stopped the other day on the way home from work. It would be a great fishing spot. I could see catfish coming right up to the shore to see who I was, the water was so clear. Sometime I may return to the Bad Citigrrrl entries. They were fun to write. But for now I thought I'd take a break before my image became too, too tarnished.
