2005-08-23 - 10:26 p.m. The Universe Works It Out Never doubt: the universe works it out eventually. This week, I found my original social security card. It was tucked way down under S in my files, go figure. Also I found my code card to reset my car radio and clock...it was right on the front table in the living room. Since the repair shop worked on my engine, I've been without...now I have both, although I've learned how sweetly refreshing complete silence and lack of time knowledge can be. I know now I can live without road radio, and, as I drive, be comfortable alone in my thoughts. Complaints have been lodged against Paula's insulting attitude towards people at one of our West Coast warehouses. It is not just me at the receiving end of her power trip. This comes at a touchy time because we store product in I think only two warehouses on the West Coast: at one, the contacts we deal with have suddenly resigned - at the other, Paula caused some alienation. I love strong women, and men, and admire them, but last week Paula practically did everything but take me over her knee and spank me, with her rants about me being childish and disrespectful; like I said, as if I was one of her misbehaving little girls. Stupid work political stuff, but I know it will work out. She'll be kept on, not much will be said; she's tough, she'll be OK. And I've been there for over 21 years, so, say what she will, I'm not going anywhere, so, Bite Me. By the way, she hates that expression, so let me say it again: Bite Me. Jody is way more computer saavy than Paula or I, and I keep pointing this out to people when they have a question about their pc. Jody is more in the Edward De Bono line of thought, whiuch my brother can relate to, since he worked on his vids: she thinks quickly, outside the box. Paula just phones the IT people for suggestions and rags on them and switches companies when she thinks they don't get back to her, with solutions, fast enough. BTW, case after case where employers have tried to take personal bloggers to court have resulted in rulings where job status has been assured, despite what you choose to record in your personal web-blog - free speech, and all that. So, this is all good. D-land is such an outlet for my rants - I love it. Street performer Black Cherokee today had a huge yellow bunch of bananas on his bald shaved head, and a cellphone against his ear, a concentrating gaze on his face, and was lazing back in a stuffed chair, a tv in front of him, and a banana stuck in his mouth. Mmmnn...I DO love New York!
