2005-09-24 - 4:08 p.m. As Simple as Rubber Bands My old 1984 portable washing machine, that hooks up to the sink in my apartment, was leaking badly. I turned it upside-down (it was way heavy and hard to do this) and replaced a drainage seal with layers of, of all things, rubber bands I'd collected at work, and,(yay!)no more leaks! I did it! Silly little thing, but it feels good when I manage to solve dopey problems all on my own. Go, Grrrl!
