2006-02-04 - 1:09 a.m. Juxtaposed I know, I know. I've been a long time posting. I've been very involved in acclimating the new rescue German Shepherd Dog, and also repairing 1800's plumbling leaks in my apartment, before the bathroom floor collapses for good and finally plunges me into the basement. I had two sightings one day this week, both in the same place, one in the morning, one at night. On the way into work, making the the turn off the parkway, in a dusty dull brown thicket of trees, standing out like a butterfly, I saw a fat fluffy bluebird, the first bluebird I've ever seen! On the way back from work, making the turn onto the parkway, I saw a black bat quickly zigzag over my car. Thinking back, remembering the bluebird, I held my breath.
