2007-04-21 - 10:58 a.m. The Zombies Are Here This is such a New York thing. There's a film crew here in the vacant apartments on the second floor and in the bowels of the basement, doing a movie about a group of zombies who get really shot up, one in the back of the head, blood all over...and we are waiting to see that. The actors who attack the zombies are all in army gear, running up and down the stairs. "If you want any Gatorade, we've got plenty", one of the film crew said. No great budget of catered food laid out for this venue. All the women seem to be doing the filming. I asked one pretty oh, Oriental grrrl, would you like to live in a place like this? My name is Gina, I live downstairs, about $350 a month, the toilet doesn't flush, you're lucky if you get hot water, the ceiling's fallen down...but it's New York City, right? She said, Oh, who cares - yeah! Still waiting to see the bloody zombies roaming the hallways...this is surreal.
