2008-11-25 - 3:47 p.m. Going Down The Country Thanksgiving wishes and hearty eating to everyone! I've been enduring a bit of difficult times, no heat, very rarely hot water; a boiler was never installed, and it's cold in the Northeast. I'm tired of shivering through the night. So, my sister to the rescue. She's making Thanksgiving dinner, my bf coming down from Canada, and maybe Gretta the German Shepherd Dog will attempt driving again. Maybe. Last time we went down there Gretta released the parking brake and drove through her fence and straight for the Eno River (all of us running behind yelling) landing the car nose-forward into a ditch. My sister's cowboy bf kindly towed it out, saying quietly, "Look at it this way...you're making memories." We were all frazzled, but then we felt better. Hopefully this time the dog will let me do all the driving. Last Thanksgiving and Christmas I was alone so this will be nice. I mean, I do like being alone, but not always. Have a good holiday.
